A woman fighting the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court confronted Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana this week.

The two debated the merits of the sexual assault claim against the nominee.

"Rapists are bad," the woman told the senator.

He questioned her characterization of Kavanaugh.

"Are you okay, as a person, to accept a non-corroborated charge to destroy someone's life?" Cassidy asked.

She fired back, "Clearly, you're okay with a rapist on the US Supreme Court."

Cassidy replied, "Clearly you're okay, the absence of evidence means nothing to you."

The US Senate is set to vote in the coming days on approving President Donald Trump's nominee.

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford claims Kavanaugh attempted to sexually assault her when he was a 17-year-old high school student and she was 15.  She made her allegations before the Senate Judiciary Committee.  No one she said was at the home at the time of the alleged attack could remember the party happening.  Kavanaugh says it did not happen.
