New Orleans Police say four people, including two children, were injured when shots rang out in the Little Woods late Wednesday night.

According to the NOPD, a man, a woman and two young girls, aged 5 and 7, were in a car at the intersection of N. I-10 Service Rd/Bullard Ave. when a red pickup truck pulled up to the left of them and started shooting.

It happened about 11:45 p.m.

Both juveniles and the woman were shot in the leg. Police have not said where the man was shot.

The female victim jumped out of the vehicle and ran to a nearby gas station. The driver drove himself and the juveniles to his residence.

All four victims were then transported by EMS to a local hospital. The male and the juveniles are in stable condition and the female’s condition is unknown.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
