Tulane ranks high among nation's "party schools"
Jim Hanzo
Tulane University is a top school for partying, according to annual rankings from The Princeton Review. The school comes in at number five, with Syracuse, Alabama, Delaware, and West Virginia University in spots 1-4.
With a tuition of $50,780, it's the most expensive school in the publication's top five, ahead of Syracuse's $48,780.
Perhaps not coincidentally, Tulane also ranks seventh for "lots of beer," and sixth for "lots of hard liquor."
It may be the party reputation comes from students blowing off steam. The Princeton Review notes that "due to the intensity of their coursework, most students spend the majority of their week hitting the books...but when these dedicated scholars need a break, there are plenty of events and activities to enjoy."
Tulane is also ranked at fourth for "happiest students," sixth for "best quality of life," and comes in first for "most engaged in community service."
