Tuesday will be a very wet one for most of the day 

Rain is expected much of the day, 90 percent.  Be aware of street flooding.  

"The rain should move out of the city by 6 p.m. in time for the fireworks this evening," said WWL-TV meteorologist Dave Nussbaum.

A Flash Flood Warning for parts of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard and Plaquemines Parish until 9:15 this morning.  
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen.
