Troopers arrest man for pointing firearm at motorist

Louisiana State Police arrested a man for pointing a gun at a passing motorists.  The incident happened on I-12 Westbound in Hammond yesterday.     

A motorists noticed a 2007 Dodge Dart driving recklessly.  

When the motorists pulled up along side the vehicle the driver allegedly pointed a pistol at the motorist.   The motorists then contacted State Police.   

22 Year old Saadiq Ellis of Denham Springs arrested for road rage  and other charges. 

Upon further investigation, it was determined that Ellis (a convicted felon) was in possession of two firearms, including the one he pointed at the motorist. Ellis was placed under arrest and booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center for Aggravated assault with a firearm, Reckless operation, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Suspended driver’s license.
