The LSU Tigers will open the season against the BYU Cougars in Houston Texans, with kickoff now set for 8:30 p.m. CT on September 2nd.  The game will be broadcast on ESPN, and carried on radio by WWL 870am/105.3fm.

The Southeastern Conference and ESPN announced the time in a press release today.

It will be the first ever meeting between the two programs, and will be the first game of LSU coach Ed Orgeron's first full seasono at the helm of the Tigers.

The 2017 AdvoCare Texas Kickoff will be played at Houston's NRG Stadium.  The last time the Tigers played there was in the 2014 season opener against Wisconsin, a 28-24 LSU win.
