Three teens arrested in Gentilly carjacking/murder

New Orleans Police have arrested three teenagers in the carjacking and murder of a woman in Gentilly last week.

Jontrell Robinson, 17, (pictured) was booked on carjacking and second degree murder charges. Police say an 18-year-old, Edwin Cottrell, was booked for second degree murder and principal to carjacking. An unnamed juvenile was arrested an booked with principal to second degree murder and principal to carjacking.

Police say the three were involved in the carjacking of 49-year-old Jeannot Plessy Tuesday on Prentiss Ave. 

According to police, Plessy's attackers pulled her from the car, threw her to the ground, and stole the vehicle. The woman's son-in-law witnessed it and attempted to get one of the thieves out of the car. Police say that's when the carjacker at the wheel backed over Plessy, fatally injuring her.
