Four serious flooding incidents this year will certainly take center stage at City Hall tomorrow.

A faceoff could take place tomorrow between the New Orleans City Council and the Sewerage and Water Board.  The elected body set to question SWB officials about street flooding in the CBD during the last rainstorms and the discovery of a car submerged in tons of junk deep inside a covered canal.

The public will likely want answers about new flooding in areas of the city.  During recent rain storms flooding inundated areas of the CBD for the first time in recent memory.  Local businesses were effected, including some on Canal Street.

The meeting of the Public Works, Sanitation and Environment Committee was scheduled for September 3rd, but put off due to preparations for Hurricane Dorian.

The meeting agenda says efforts to coordinate the Department of Public Works and SWB with regard to maintenance and planned improvements to the storm water drainage system will take place.

There will also be an update on the spending of FEMA Money dedicated to infrastructure.

The meeting begins at 10:30 at City Hall.
