The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said a man has been arrested for the alleged killing of a man and shooting a woman last year.

22 year-old Kentrell Hudson of Marrero allegedly shot Frank Bailey and Katerina Gutierrez back in November of 2016.  Both victims were shot in the head while sitting inside a vehicle in the parking lot at 2800 Mt. Kennedy in Marrero.

While attempting to apprehend Hudson, he fled on foot.  After a brief foot pursuit, Hudson was apprehended.

He was transported to our Criminal Investigations Bureau for questioning.  At the conclusion of the interview, Hudson was informed that a search warrant would be issued for the contents of his cellular telephone.  Hudson violently slammed his phone to the ground causing its destruction.

While Hudson was escorted out of the interview room he attempted to escape, however he was apprehended after a struggle with detectives.

Hudson was transported to JPCC when he was booked with obstruction of justice, attempted escape, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer in addition to first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
