Many Saints fans are looking for a good reason to care about this year's Super Bowl.  Former LSU standout Tyrann Mathieu may be one.

"Everyone is aware of his off the field problems, and for him to overcome these obstacles, and become a great player and a great person, is the feel-good story of this year’s Super Bowl," said Jeff Palermo, LSU insider.

Mathieu’s road to the Super Bowl has been bit rocky.  He was kicked off the LSU team, reportedly after failing numerous drug tests.  He got clean, then Arizona took a chance on him, but his seasons were cut short due to injuries.

After a short time with Houston Texans, the Chiefs needed to bolster their defense. He fit right in at Kansas City, leading team in tackles in the AFC championship game, and has been exactly what the Chiefs needed.

"In a day and age when there are few feel-good stories, Tyrann is certainly one for this year," said Palermo. "He has become a role model for those who have maybe taken a wrong turn in their life, or career, to get themselves back together and become a great player, and a great person. That is Tyrann Mathieu."
