The Krewe of Endymion announced that former Saint Steve Gleason will be joining his fellow Saints standouts Alvin Kamara and Marshon Lattimore as special guest riders in the Krewe of Endymion.

Gleason played for the Saints from 2000 through the 2007 season.  Gleason is well known for his blocked punt in a 2006 game that became a symbol of recovery in New Orleans in the team's first home game after Hurricane Katrina.

Gleason retired from the NFL after eight seasons in 2008.

In 2011, he revealed that he was battling ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Endymion with over 3100 members, parades in Mid-City on the Saturday before Mardi Gras.  This year's parade is February 10th.
