All the storms that passed through the New Orleans metro area Saturday and early Sunday have moved to our east and a cold front has brought much cooler temperatures.

"We really dodged much in the way of severe storms with the only damage reported so far across the area were some trees down associated with the strong winds before the storms even arrived," says local weather expert, WWL-TV meteorologist Chris Franklin.

As a result of the front passing through, it's breezy, much cooler and less humid.

"Afternoon temps will remain in the low to mid 60s. We're seeing a lot more sunshine, but there could be a period when some wrap-around clouds return," says Franklin. "Get ready for a chilly night with lows in the 40s and 50s. But, we've got a couple of gorgeous days ahead with lots of sun and 'good feel' air through midweek."

Moisture from the Gulf returns Wednesday and another upper disturbance will send a cold front through late Thursday. Thursday could be stormy and wet with the chance for some strong to severe weather. Cooler and less humid by Good Friday and Easter weekend looks very nice.
