After a firestorm of social media posts from Drew Brees’ team mates regarding his comments about disrespecting the American flag, many are now pledging  forgiveness of their quarterback, after a lengthy and genuine apology on Instagram.

All-Pro wide receiver Mike Thomas started the acceptance of Brees' apology.

Team captain, linebacker Demario Davis told CNN, "For him (Brees) to admit that he's wrong, that is leadership at its  finest.”

Saints offensive lineman Terron Armstead posted this yesterday on Twitter.

Running back Alvin Kamara admitted Brees' intial comments stung and bothered him.  He showed great maturity and talked to Brees about it; explaining why the things that were said cut so many people.

Some of Brees' teammates are taking a backseat regarding social media posts accepting his apology and keeping their conversations with Brees private.
