Slidell cops ask for help identifying brazen jewelry thief

A brazen jewelry heist in Slidell has police asking for the public's help.

"On Thursday, November 7, 2019, around 4:00 p.m., an unidentified male entered RG Jewelers (1414 Gause Boulevard), brazenly opened a jewelry case, and stole over $10,000 worth of goods," the Slidell Police Department said in a statement. "The thief fled in a newer model Chevrolet Colorado (color: grey) pickup truck."

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Kyle Taylor at (985) 646-6174 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111. Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names to be eligible for a cash reward.
