Should NFL players be punished for refusing to stand for the national anthem?  The Survey Center at UNO wanted to find out and polled over 500 voters
in this area.

''Of all registered voters surveyed, 26 percent said they should be fined, 30 percent thought they should be fired, and 43 percent said neither,'' said pollster Tony Licciardi.

Licciardi noted the sharp difference in the survey along racial lines.

''Of black respondents, 66 percent said neither they should not be fined or fired," said Licciardi, "and white respondents, only 30 percent said they should not be fined or fired, so there's big contrast there.''

The poll also asked if the national anthem racist. Overall, eleven percent said they believe it is.
