Shots fired at a Slidell McDonalds leaves one injured

Slidell Police are investigating a shooting at a McDonalds that left one person injured.
Shortly after 6:40 p.m., Slidell Police were called to a report of multiple gun shots at McDonalds at 3301 Pontchartrain Drive. One person was struck by a bullet. The person’s injuries are not life threatening.
The scene remains active, however, but authorities don’t believe there to be a public safety threat at this time. Slidell Police investigators are still processing the crime scene and interviewing multiple people.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Slidell Police at 985-643-3131. More details will be released at a later time.
