Shorthanded Saints play for NFC South Sunday

The Saints will be without three players in the regular season finale Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

LT Terron Armstead (thigh), DE Trey Hendrickson (ankle) and TE Michael Hoomanawanui (concussion) have all been ruled out for this week.

Armstead suffered his injury in the week 16 win over the Falcons. Hooman, suffered his concussion in week 15 in a win over the Jets.  Both should be able to return to the lineup in the post-season.

Armstead has dealt with a ton of injuries this season.  This will be the sixth game he has missed this season.

Andrus Peat will likely fill in at LT in Armstead's absence.

Meanwhile, the Saints insist they're focused on one game at a time, and not looking ahead to the playoffs after the regular season.

"This is what it's all about, winning your division; and we have a chance to do that this week againts Tampa," Saints Quarterback Drew Brees told me.

The Saints could improve to as high as the three seed with a win or a Panthers loss and a Rams loss, or fall to as low as the 5th seed with a loss and a Panthers win.

I don't think you have to worry about that. The Saints will sweep the Buc's 23-17 and win the NFC south.
