SEC Football Media Days gets underway with LSU talking at the mic

(  LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron returns to SEC Football Media Day on Monday in Hoover, Alabama. Orgeron’s last appearance was in 2007 as the head coach of Ole Miss.

The Rebels went 3-9 that year and Orgeron was fired. Tiger Rag Editor Cody Worsham says Coach O will be asked numerous times today how he’s changed as a coach.

"He's practiced that answer a lot, he's been asked that question how he's changed since his Ole Miss days quite a bit," Worsham said. "It will be interesting to see how he receives the media and how the media receives him."
LSU running back Derrius Guice, wide receiver D.J. Chark and defensive end Christian LaCourture will join Orgeron at SEC Football Media Day. Worsham says we might get an indication of how Guice will be used in the Tigers new offense.
"Matt Canada, new offensive coordinator, he likes to get his play makers the ball in space and comes up with clever ways to get them the ball in different spots. I don't if Matt Canada has ever coached a weapon like Derrius Guice," Worsham said.
Worsham says he’s interested to hear from Orgeron how LSU’s defense will be just as dominated as they were last year, despite losing so many impact players to the NFL.
"You lose Jamal Adams, maybe the most dominate safety you've had at LSU at linebacker, you lose your two leading tacklers in Duke Riley and Kendell Beckwith."
LSU meets with the large media contingent Monday afternoon.
