Saints officially sign four 2020 draft picks

The New Orleans Saints officially signed the four members of their 2020 draft class Monday.

The franchise's Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced the signings of interior lineman Cesar Ruiz, linebacker Zack Baun, tight end Adam Trautman and quarterback Tommy Stevens who were all selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. 

The Saints used a first-round pick to select Michigan's 6-foot-4, 316-pound guard and center, who started 31-of-36 games during his three seasons with the Wolverines. 

New Orleans used the first of its two third-round picks to select the 6-3, 225-pound Baun out of Wisconsin, where he became the program's first ever consensus first-team All-America linebacker. The Saints traded up to select Trautman, a 6-5, 253-pound tight end out of Dayton, in the third round. Trautman Dayton's records for career receptions (178) and receiving yards (2,295) while hauling in 31 touchdowns.

The Saints also made a trad to select the, 6-foot-5, 235-pound, Stevens out of Mississippi State in the seventh round of this year's draft. Throughout his college career he rushed for 887 yards and 12 touchdowns and in his lone season with the Bulldogs, he completed 60.2 percent of his passes for 1,155 yards and 11 touchdowns against five interceptions.
