Your New Orleans Saints are back at work today, looking to shake off that Sunday performance and put the hurt on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend. The Saints have some work to do to set themselves up for a bye in the playoffs.

"You just don't want to be a playoff team, though," notes former New Orleans Saints quarterback and WWL SportsTalk host Bobby Hebert. "You want to have that home field advantage where the road to South Beach goes to the Superdome."

If the playoffs were to begin today, the Saints would be the third seed -- champions of the NFC South, but playing in the Wild Card round, hosting Minnesota. San Francisco currently leads, with Green Bay at number two.

The Saints will get a shot at the 49ers on December 8.

"Hey, you always want to have that tiebreaker," said Hebert. "We beat Seattle, now we play 49ers head to head."

But to move ahead of Green Bay, the Saints will need the Packers to have one more loss. Green Bay holds the tie breaker over the Saints because of their better record against NFC opponents.

But all this talk may be premature. Hebert notes winning the division is paramount, and with NFC South opponents the next three weeks, the Saints have to take it one game at a time.

"You cant' afford to be one and two in the division," said Hebert. "You've got Tampa Bay and Carolina."
