Even if the NFL decides to play a full season this fall, many fans might not feel safe attending games short of an announcement of a miraculous cure for COVID-19 or a vaccine for the novel coronavirus.

Today, the New Orleans Saints became the latest NFL team to offer fans the choice of deferring their 2020 seats to 2021 if they so choose, according to The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate.

Fans are also being allowed to cancel 2020, receive a refund, but still keep their option to renew for 2021 instead of having to go on the team's season ticket waiting list.

The NFL is proceeding as if the 2020 season will happen, but whether or not games happen with fans in attendance, or how social distancing would affect the stadium layout, is still being worked out.
