The New Orleans Saints today announced the team has hired Phil Galiano as assistant special teams coach.

Galiano has nearly two decades of coaching experience. In 2018, he was special teams coordinator for the Penn State Nittany Lions. He also served as Penn State's assistant defensive line coach. Prior to that, he coached at Rutgers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Florida International University.

Galiano joins special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi, hired by the Saints last week after a ten-season stint with the Miami Dolphins.
