The Saints and veteran running back Terrance West have agreed to terms on a one year contract, per a league source. West was selected by Cleveland in the third round of the 2014 draft out of Towson.  He also spent time with the Titans in 2015 and the three previous seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.  West has played in 43 games with 465 carries and 1,816 rushing yards in his four seasons in the league.

"He's more insurance and a veteran to hold it down while Mark Ingram serves his four game suspension to start the season.  The Saints want a veteran they can trust that has game experience," said Saints all-time leading rusher Deuce McAllister.

West will be in training camp fighting for the fill-in spot at RB with others such as Trey Edmunds, Boston Scott, and Jonathan Williams.
