Roller coaster weather continues, Christmas storms possible

December 17, 2016 - 11:47 pm
After a record-tying 79 degrees Saturday at Louis Armstrong International Airport, Sunday's temperatures will fall through the day
The big drop in temperature on Sunday won't last long, however. Two days of cold weather will begin to warm again on Tuesday
Sunday, the overnight/early morning low near 70 will continue to drop to the 40s by afternoon, with strong winds making it feel like the 30s.
There is a slight risk of early storms Sunday morning as the cold front moves into the metro area
Monday will bring more cold and windy conditions, with morning temperatures in the 30s, warming to the 40s by afternoon.
We'll be back in the 50s by Tuesday and near 70 again on Wednesday. Another cold front will bring showers and storms on Thursday, but we'll see another quick warm up by Christmas Eve.
