New Orleans Police says road rage was the reason why a man was shot in his arm while driving on the riverbound Pontchartrain Expressway today.

It happened just before noon near the Carondelet exit, approaching the Crescent City Connection.

Police tell WWL-TV that two vehicles were involved in a hit-and-run, and 22-year-old Devin Raymond opened fire on the other driver.

Police arrested Raymond on an aggravated battery charge, and the shooting victim will be cited with hit and run when released from the hospital.
