Road closures due to ice

Ice led to crashes and closures across the region this morning.

As of 10:05am, All lanes reopened on I-10 East and West between US 51 (Laplace) and LA 641 (Gramercy) after multiple earlier crashes on icy roads.

As of 11:20am, Louisiana State Police said I-55 reopened in both directions between LaPlace and Hammond and I-310 was ice free in both directions as well.

At 8:35am the southbound Causeway was reopened after it had been closed, due to ice on bridge.

As of 8:30am all lanes were reopen on I-10 East on the Pearl River Bridge.  I-10 was a mess in Slidell due to crashes on the interstate heading out of Louisiana into Mississippi at the Pearl River Bridge.

As of 8:15am Airline highway (U.S. 61) over the Bonnet Carre' Spillway has been reopened after an earlier closure due to ice.
