Gretna Fest lineup announced

The Gretna Heritage Festival’s 25th Anniversary will be headlined by performances from Rick Springfield, KC and the Sunshine Band as well as Starship featuring Mickey Thomas and Foundation of Funk. 

Gretna’s mayor Belinda Constant announced the lineup Wednesday flanked by members of the city council and festival’s organizers.

Ticket prices are also set to be lower for this year’s fest, which runs from September 27-29.

In addition to lowering the cost, the ticket process is changing a bit for this year’s festival as on-line and e-tickets will not be available. Advance tickets will be sold exclusively at the GEDA office located at 327 Huey P Long Ave.

Pre-sale ticket prices will be $20 for a Single Day Pass and $60 for a 3-day Weekend Pass. There’s also a new option for a Saturday/Sunday Pass for $40. 

Single Day passes will be $25 while the 3-Day and Saturday/Sunday admission prices will be the same as pre-sale. General admission for children under 12 is free.

Children under 12 and will also be allowed to enter the VIP tent at main stage free with paying adults. VIP tent entry is not included in gate admission. 

New to the Festival this year is the Latino Village, which is located on the Riverfront and will include two stages featuring live music, dancing demonstrations and culturally inspired craft and food vendors featuring “Latin influenced cocktails and beers.” The Latino village stage will be headlined by legendary performer Jose Feliciano.
