A Louisiana Legislative audit of credit cards issued to New Orleans city council members full of sloppy bookkeeping and questionable purchases among all council members, not just LaToya Cantrell, according to a report in The New Orleans Advocate.

Cantrell's credit card use became an issue in the runoff for mayor between her and former municipal court judge Desiree Charbonnet. Although the issue didn't sway enough voters to cost Cantrell the election, it did lead to an investigation by the state attorney general's office.

The audit finds that oversight of how council members used their cards was lacking. The audit is due to be released in the coming weeks. The Advocate obtained an advance copy.
