Get ready to get wet this weekend as we have a 100% rain chance for Saturday.

First, your Friday brings a small shot at showers.

"We will have plenty of clouds over us all day with a slight chance for a stray shower," WWL-TV Meteorologist said. "High temperatures will be in the mid 60s."

Then, we have a couple of factors contributing to the expected downpours for tomorrow.

"An area of low pressure and cold front will move through the New Orleans area on Saturday," Nussbaum explained. "This will bring us heavy rain and a few strong to severe storms. We could pick up 2-4 inches of rain, and this will lead to some flooding issues of low-lying areas and streets."

He says the bulk of the rain is anticipated between 10:00am and 3:00pm in the New Orleans area, but there will be some rain before and after that.

"Fortunately, this will not be a widespread event. The rain will start moving in after 9:00am and continue into the evening hours."

We end the weekend with a big temperature drop... falling from the 70s Saturday down to the 40s for Sunday.

"Sunday will be a calmer, but MUCH COLDER day. It will be cloudy and breezy with some drizzle or light rain. High temperatures will only be in the upper 40s. It will feel like the 30s. BRRR!"
