NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The First Family is embracing wearing masks.

First, President Trump was spotted wearing a mask last Saturday while visiting Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, after months of refusing to be seen wearing a face covering in public.

Well, now first lady Melania Trump has jumped on the bandwagon.

"Even in the summer months, please remember to wear face coverings & practice social distancing," she tweeted Tuesday, along with a photo of herself wearing a white cloth mask. "The more precaution we take now can mean a healthier & safer country in the Fall."

Ahead of his visit to Walter Reed, Trump said, "I'll probably have a mask if you must know. I'll probably have a mask. I think when you're in a hospital especially in that particular setting, where you are talking to a lot of soldiers, people that in some cases just got off the operating table. I think it's a great thing to wear a mask. I've never been against masks but I do believe they have a time and a place," Trump told reporters ahead of his visit.
