A group of protesters shut down the I-10 through downtown New Orleans Tuesday night.  Police in cars and on foot escorted the march on the elevated interstate between the Claiborne and Esplanade exits.

NOPD closed the road in both directions.  WWL's Kenny Kuhn watched and said there were no signs of violence or unrest.  He reported that like the rally earlier near New Orleans City Hall, everything seemed to be peaceful as the protesters walked down the I-10.

It's the latest in consecutive nights of demonstrations as people demand an end to police brutality, following the death of George Floyd, a black man in Minneapolis as he was held down by white police officers. A Minneapolis medical examiner has classified George Floyd's death as a homicide.
