Parades kick off tomorrow night in Uptown, Metairie, and the Northshore. Weather should be great at the outside, but rain chances return to the forecast by Sunday.

"Friday will be a gorgeous day with plenty of sunshine as an area of high pressure builds over us," said WWL-TV meteorologist Payton Malone. "Friday evening will be clear and chilly with temperatures falling from the 50s to 40s for the parades."

Saturday will warm up a little with highs in the 60s, but Payton tells us rain chances return for Sunday.

"An upper-level disturbance/wave will move over us on Sunday. This will make it mostly cloudy with rain possible on Sunday. It will become warmer with highs in the upper 60s. It might be a good idea to bring your poncho for the parades."
