Warm temperatures staying with us over the course of the week.

Our rain chances will remain low for the next few days.

Slight chance of isolated afternoon showers are only about 20 percent.

"A ridge of high pressure will build across the Deep South the next few days," said WWL-TV Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum.

Nussbaum says the rain chances will rise a bit by the weekend.

"The ridge of high pressure will break down and move west of us," Nussbaum said.  "This will allow for an upper-level wave to move through on Saturday and into Sunday. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and storms each day."
