Typically, we thing of the Super Bowl on the first Sunday in February to be the end of the NFL season.

WWL Sports Director Kristian Garic tells us that there really isn’t an end, or a beginning to football season, it is pretty much all year round -- and the NFL likes it that way.

Now that football season is kind of over, what’s next for the Saints?  What’s happening at Airline Drive to get the Saints ready for the 2020 season? Right now, the team should be going through player evaluations, then comes the NFL scouting combine held February 23 – March 2, free agency, and the draft this April.

“Everything starts in Indianapolis at the NFL scouting combine,” said Kristian. “Every coach, every scout, every agent will be there evaluating players, reviewing medical records, and conducting interviews.”

Then, we go into free agency, then the draft, then the schedule release, then OTAs, then minicamp, then training camp.  The NFL has done a great job keeping football in the sports headlines year round.

What about Drew Brees?  Kristian says he thinks we will know before the end of the month. For what it’s worth, Kristian thinks as long as Tom Brady is playing, Drew will play.

Drew has been quoted as saying the championship window is still open for the Saints.  The games are over, but there is still a lot going on at Saints headquarters.
