A Civil District Court judge in New Orleans denied an NFL motion to dismiss a lawsuit that alleges fraud in the infamous NFC Championship No-Call.

The judge ruled that since the plaintiffs allege fraud, and not merely dissatisfaction with the game's outcome, the NFL's basis for its motion to dismiss didn't apply.

"Because they have alleged fraud, the judge has kept the case alive," said WWL-TV legal analyst Chick Foret.

But Foret still thinks the plaintiff's chances of getting much further are slim.

"I think at the end of the day, the NFL, as distasteful as it may be to all the Saints fans, the NFL will prevail and this case will be dismissed."
