Video obtained by Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle provide additional details into the altercation that took place on the field after the LSU-Texas A&M game on Saturday night.
One video, shared by Zwerneman via Twitter, shows a man identified as Texas A&M undergraduate manager Cole Fisher taking two swings at LSU director of player development Kevin Faulk. The video then shows LSU safety John Battle punching Fisher in the face.
Another video appears to show Fisher shoving LSU analyst Steve Kragthorpe in the chest at the outset of the altercation. Kragthorpe, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2011, said the blow hit him directly in a pacemaker that was installed in 2017.
“Out of nowhere, I got nailed,” Kragthorpe told Gannett Louisiana in an on-the-record interview Sunday. “I didn’t go down, but I clutched over. I was like, ‘Damn, he got me right in my pacemaker.’ Then it started fluttering like he jostled it.”
Zwerneman sounds a little like Zapruder, right? I’ve acquired video disputing Steve Kragthorpe’s version of postgame fight — he was shoved by Cole Fisher, not punched.
