It is one of the biggest matchups on the NFL schedule this weekend, when the New Orleans Saints host their old foes, the San Francisco 49ers.

Both teams come in with a 10-2 record and a lot on the line, and it's hard to overstate how big this game is:

"Both of them are two of the top five teams in the league, so you've got quite a matchup here between two teams that have a lot of similarities," said WWL NFL analyst Mike Detillier. "It's an interesting scheme game how they'll try and go after one another."

Detillier says both teams have good defenses, and stout offensive lines. He says the differences are that San Fran has built its offense around the run game while the Saints O runs through Drew Brees.

The Saints just locked up the NFC South with a win in Atlanta, while San Francisco is coming off a loss. Detillier says San Francisco's loss to the Baltimore Ravens, where quarterback Lamar Jackson ran for 101 yards, could provide a path for New Orleans.

"I think some of the things that happened in the Ravens game, the Saints will try to use," he said, "and I'm thinking a more expanded role for Taysom Hill in this football game."

Saints are favored by less than a field goal. The game kicks off at noon and you can hear it here on WWL.
