"We're seeing all these tech companies and business companies move to New Orleans and we want them to stay.  But in order for them to stay, they have to have an influx of talent throughout the years." -- Tina Chang, Associate Vice President of PaCE, the Professional and Continuing Education Division at the University of New Orleans.

Whether you're a working professional looking to change careers, a worker wanting to learn a new trade and get a better job, or a student looking for skills to work in growing high tech fields, UNO is enrolling in certificate programs to suit you.

"We work companies like DXC, Entergy and Accruent, but we also work some small start ups as well," said Tina Chang, Associate Vice President of PaCE, the Professional and Continuing Education Division at UNO.

UNO has rolled out classroom certificate programs on leadership and team management, agile application development, User experience (UX) design and digital marketing.

Chang says these certificate courses are open for anyone who is motivated and "looking for opportunities to expand their own skill professional skill set or to transition into different areas."

She says companies have jobs to fill in: "Software product manangement and application development, we're seeing a big boom lately.  There's going to be a lot of demand."

Classes get underway in September and October, they will meet evenings and weekends over two semesters.  The courses are being taught by actual professionals working in the fields they're teaching.
