Most of any rain expected mid-to-late afternoon

Most showers and thunderstorms are expected in our area some time between 2 and 5 p.m., according to WWL-TV weather experts.

"Models in better agreement that showers/storms will become more frequent by the mid afternoon hours, 2-5 pm with a potential line of storms moving through after 7 or 8 pm," said meteorologist Chris Franklin. "Not to downplay our threat here, but any storms that become borderline strong to severe would be likely isolated and short-lived."

Chris says tomorrow's weather will be near-perfect conditions for Carnival parades.

"After today, beautiful weather for Sunday as cooler, less humid air moves in," he said.
