The new week arrived with less than perfect weather for people heading to work or school.

"Watch out for some patchy dense fog and scattered showers across Southeast Louisiana this morning,"  WWL-TV Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum said.

Visibility was very low in spots, but not too bad in others.

More warm weather is on tap.

"It will be unseasonably mild again today as breezy southerly winds pump in Gulf moisture and scattered showers. We may see a few peaks of sun today, but that would be it. High temperatures will warm up into the mid 70s."

Nussbaum says tonight will be cloudy and breezy with scattered showers and storms.

"A few storms could be strong toward daybreak as a cold front moves toward us."

So people headed to work and school on Tuesday could see some strong to severe storms.

"The rain should end around noon; and then we will be left with mostly cloudy skies, a strong breeze and falling temperatures."
