LSU released a preliminary seating and ticket plan for the 2020 season Thursday morning. The announcement come on the heels of the SEC's decision to have its member schools play a 10-game conference only schedule this year.

The plan will prioritize distribution to season ticketholders and student as well as allow ticketholders to have the the ability to opt out of the 2020 season and retain their seats for 2021.  Ticketholders that don't opt out will receive more information once the 2020 schedule is determined.

“In order to decide how we are going to distribute tickets and to whom, we need to know our capacity first,” said Associate Athletic Director of Ticket Operations Brian Broussard in a news realease. “Once we know that and our final schedule, we can finalize our plans. We’ll keep our ticketholders up to date along the way.”

Ticketholders will be sent an online form next week in order to elect to opt out or accept their tickets for this upcoming season.

Earlier this week the athletic department announced that football tickets will be distributed through mobile delivery and that there would be no paper tickets available for the upcoming season and that cash would not be accepted at athletic events this season in order to limit contact at events and help slow the spread of the Coronavirus.
