After the University of Texas perched the Golden Band from Tigerland high atop Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium for last Saturday’s game, The Advocate reports LSU officials say the Texas band will enjoy the same bird’s eye view when they come to Tiger Stadium in 2020.

LSU fans who purchased tickets from the allotment of 3,000 that Texas reserved for the visiting fans also found themselves seated in the “nosebleed” section.

SEC rules require bands to be seated in the lower section, and for home schools to allot at least 1,500 out of 5,000 seats for visiting fans to be in the lower section as well. But because LSU/Texas is an inter-conference matchup, the seating arrangements are negotiated between schools. So both schools agreed that their fans, when visiting the other stadium, would only get a chance to buy 3,000 tickets, and would be seated in the upper decks.
