(WWL.com)  A new survey from BlackFriday.com shows Louisiana shoppers actually prefer buying online for Cyber Monday rather than fighting the crowds on Friday.

Site Retail Expert Carson Yarbrough says over 60% of consumers in the Bayou State still plan to catch some deals in stores this Black Friday, though.

“We also found that about half of Louisiana cares about the quality of the product and then the retailer’s reputation comes second as the top two motivators of why they will shop this Black Friday.”

Yarbrough says the survey also finds that more than 68% of Louisiana shoppers will check Amazon before looking or buying somewhere, more than the national average of 55% She says Bayou State buyers also are not wanting jewelry in their stockings this Christmas.

“Louisiana people prefer clothing and tablets, laptops and PCs on Black Friday and for Cyber Monday, a lot of Louisiana residents are looking for clothing and smart home gadgets.”

Yarbrough says they also asked Louisiana residents which holiday perk they were most likely to take advantage of…

“Most of Louisiana chose free shipping as their favorite shopping perk with over 53% of Louisiana consumers preferring free shipping as the perk they want to take advantage of.”
