Rams hang on to beat Chiefs, keep pace with Saints
First game in NFL history where both teams score 50+

USA TODAY Sports
The L.A. Rams fought to the very end to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in an NFL game for the history books. Both teams came into the game with just one loss.
It ended with the first game in NFL history with both teams breaking the 50 point mark. It was also the highest scoring game in Monday Night Football history.
Rams win 51 - 54 in a wild shootout with more than 1,000 yards of offense.
The Chiefs now have the dubious distinction of being the first team to ever score more than 50 points and lose.
It keeps the Rams in a battle with the Saints for the best record in the NFC and hopes of home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The good news for the Saints, they beat the Rams. If both teams win out, the Saints own the tie breaker. The bad news, it doesn't give the Saints any breathing room. They must keep pace with the Rams to have first place at the end of the regular season.
The 9 -1 Saints play the struggling 4 - 6 Falcons Thursday in a Thanksgiving night showdown in the Superdome.
The 10 - 1 Rams are off this week with a bye.
