The Saints have not settled on who will line up in the backfield this season.

Veteran running back Theo Riddick worked out for the Saints over the past week.

Now a league source, tells us the Saints are bringing in Alfred Morris.

Morris is a seven year veteran and rushed for 428 yards last season in 11 games with the San Francisco 49ers.

Morris entered the league with the Washington Redskins in 2012, and rushed for one-thousand yards in each of his first three seasons.  He’s played with three teams: Washington, Dallas, and last season with San Francisco.

While Alvin Kamara and Latavious Murray are the one and two, the Saints are trying to figure out who will be the third running back on the roster.

Dwayne Washington, and rookie Devine Ozigbo are in the mix, but haven’t been overwhelmingly impressive so far in training camp.

Morris was flying in today, and I would expect the work out to happen this evening.  If that occurs, and they like him enough, they could sign him by tomorrow morning.

Murray missed practice today.
