LSU will play the Texas Longhorns this September, and the game will be featured as ABC's Saturday primetime game, the network announced today.

The last time LSU played Texas, it was in Dallas for the Cotton Bowl on New Year's Day 2003. The Longhorns won 35-20. This is also the Fighting Tigers' first trip to Austin since 1954.

Texas will visit Baton Rouge in September of 2020.

Both the Tigers and the Longhorns won their Bowl Games last season. LSU beat Central Florida 40-32 at Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona. Texas came here for the Sugar Bowl and beat Georgia 28-21.

LSU opens 2019 at home on August 31, hosting Georgia Southern. For Texas, it will be the second Louisiana team in a row for them. They host Louisiana Tech on August 31.

You'll be able to listen to all LSU football games here on WWL-AM/FM.
