A pair of Saints season ticket holders have lost their case in federal court in New Orleans over the infamous no-call.

The judge has refused to order the NFL to replay the NFC Championship in part or all over again.

US District Judge Susie Morgan found that season ticket holders who sued over the game had no right to compel the league and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to enforce Rule 17, which give the commissioner the power to order do-overs in extremely unfair circumstances.

There is no immediate word if the plaintiffs will appeal.

Here is the rule in question...

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday that he never considered invoking Rule 17, citing the Article 2.

Listen to Goodell...

Attorney Frank D'Amico Jr. argued that Article 2 only prohibited replaying a game in whole or in part based on a protest from team, not from season ticket holders.
