Jazz Fest producers today announced a delay in releasing the music lineup for the 50th anniversary Jazz Fest.

After initial indications it would be out in December, organizers now say the announcement won't be made until January.

"Festival Music Lineup to be Announced in December," a previous news release from Jazz Fest said.

Today they told the media, "The music lineup and ticket information for the 50th anniversary Jazz Fest will be released in January."

No reason for the delay was given.

It comes after Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger released a video indicating they will be coming to New Orleans at the time Jazz Fest is underway.  That's the closest thing to any sort of announcement of who may be playing at the festival April 25 - 28 and May 2 - 5, 2019.

Meanwhile there has been loads of speculation and guess work.  Now we will have to wait a little longer to get any confirmations.

Some fans have been reacting with disappointment, while others are hopeful it means producers are in talks with amazing performers and just need more time to seal the deals.
