A house collapsed on N. Prieur Street with eleven workers inside, according to WWL-TV. Several people were taken away by ambulance.

The extent of their injuries is not known.

Neighbors told the TV station that house has been vacant at least since 2005, when hurricane Katrina flooded the neighborhood with as much as five feet of water. Neighbors said the house was covered in vines and workers were renovating the structure when it collapsed.
