Hot, Hot, Hot! The heat returns with a few scattered showers.

WWL-TV’s Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum says, “The front and trough that brought us the heavy rain and storms the last few days will lift north today. This will decrease our chance for rain to around 30-40% with the higher chance across the Northshore. We will have more sunshine, so it will become hotter with high temperatures in the lower 90s. The heat index will be around 100-105. Tonight will be partly cloudy and muggy with lows 75-80.”
